Initial review of the paints

Hi everyone. I have just started to use the paints. At the moment, I am finding the paints very thick with limited movement across the surface without any form of dilution using a flow medium or water. At this stage, I am finding them a bit disappointing. I use impasto paints most of the time however these paints are much thinker. Probably best with a palette knife or something similar. I am also finding the drying period slower particularly the 'stick' or tacky' phases of the drying process. I will persist with the paints but probably on smaller surfaces as a means of getting used to them. I had assumed that the paints would move more easily (not fluid paints of course) based on a 'Colour in your life' session with an artist who used the paints in the demonstration. Thanks for the supplies and cheers, Dianne Marega

Burnt Sienna

I find Burnt Sienna to be an important colour . I can make beautiful blacks with this colour mixed with Ultramarine. When mixed with Inca gold and white I get lovely colours for landscapes. On its own the colour is good for any subject. A must in my studio.
